Both teams will advance to the state competition in April.

Sixty three teams from sixteen schools attended the event. Teams were group by Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced (High School) with no distinction for enrollment size.

The PHS Advanced Inventions Team, “The STEMinists” consists of: Marilynn Montes, Pamela Guevara, Irma Rodriguez, Yesenia Herrera

Robotics is a tremendous  resource for teaching science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills. It also develops critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving, along with other 21st century skills such as creativity, imagination, curiosity, and innovation.

According to Vidaurri, the top two teams from each region across the state will compete in Austin on April 7.
