Lingo and Ceniceros May Students of The Month

The Rotary Students of the Month for May 2022 are PHS Seniors Adrian Ceniceros and Hallie Lingo.

Adrian attended the Rotary Club meeting on Thursday, May 19.  Hallie could not attend because she was with the PHS Choir at Disney Word, go figure!

Adrian is the son of Jose Ceniceros and Elvia Mata.  His siblings are Aaron and Abby Ceniceros.  While he concentrated on school work his senior year, he was involved in Cross Country and Track in his previous years.

He lists Math as his favorite subject, “Because I understand it best,” he says. Coach Lopez was his favorite instructor.  “He made me mentally tough and showed me a lot through Cross Country.”

Adrian advises younger students not to get too comfortable.  His future plans are to drive for his father’s trucking business and maybe be an owner/operator.

Hallie is the daughter of Chris and Shae Lingo, and she has two sisters, Emma Lingo and Kaylie Biggs.  Her activities include basketball, softball, choir, youth church, student council, and National Honor Society.

Her favorite subjects are Math and English because they have always been her easiest and are her best grades.  Coach Slover was the one who influenced her the most.  Hallie says, “She never stopped pushing me to be better.”

Her advice is to get involved.  “You don’t want to look back and regret not doing more.”

Hallie plans to attend Frank Phillips College, with her end goal being to become a nurse.  After college, she plans to become a traveling nurse.

These are two excellent examples of the great young people produced by Perryton High School.
