Dual Credit Graduates

Posted Date: 05/06/2022

Three Perryton High School seniors, Araseli Llamas, Natalie Castaneda, and Loreli Castanon, have done something not done before at PHS.  They earned Associates Degrees from Frank Phillips Allen Campus before graduating high school.  By taking Dual Credit Courses along with on-campus classes while in high school, they’ve earned enough credits to complete two years of college and earn their degrees.

They each got their start at FPC Allen Campus with help from the Pathways Program, a path that started for them in the eighth grade.  To celebrate their accomplishments, they’ve been named the May Students of the Month for the Allen Campus.

Each of these ladies has plans for the future as well.  Llamas plans to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech.  Castaneda will pursue a degree in International Relations and Nutrition.  Castanon will be attending the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor for Pediatric Nursing.

Congratulations to Araseli, Natalie, and Lorely for their groundbreaking accomplishments.
